Constructed: a national invitational exhibition highlighting twenty exceedingly talented ceramicists is showing at MudFire Gallery April 24-May 22, 2010
Constructed features fine clay work done with slab, coil, slipcast, pinch and other methods of construction, not involving the potters wheel.

Heather Knight studied Ceramics at UNC-Asheville, and recieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2006. After an artist's residency at Odyssey Center for Ceramic Art, she moved on to open Element Clay Studio in the spring of 2007.
Before she became a full time studio artist in 2008, Heather taught classes for Odyssey and served as Ceramics Faculty at the Greenville County Museum of Art in South Carolina.
Her aim is to create work that reflects both her love of modern design and her admiration for the natural world. She is passionately committed to the hand made aspect of her work, and strives to deliver pieces that display impeccable craftsmaship and an eye for detail.
